G is for Gratitude (Primary)
Thankful for…
Being grateful is like saying a lovely big thank you! Thank you to the people around us, our family, our friends, our pets, the places we like to go, the things we like to do
Sometimes, though, particularly when we’re anxious or going through lots of changes, we don’t look at what we HAVE - we look at what we DON’T have
Fun things to practice
The really great news is that there are some lovely ways to bring gratitude into our days, here they are:
1. When you’re eating your snack or your tea today, take a moment and think of the journey your food has taken to end up with you, on your plate, in your mouth! Say thank you to everyone & everything who’s helped your food on its journey! Say a particular thank you to the person who gave you this yummy food to eat!
2. Think of everyone who’s helped you recently - perhaps your family, perhaps your teachers, your friends? Take a piece of paper & draw/write everyone who’s helped you, we bet there’s lots! What ways can you think of to say thank you to them? How about say thank you to 1 person from your list every day
3. Reminding ourselves that we’re all connected, all together and not alone, can be a lovely reminder, particularly when times are difficult. How about set up a gratitude jar where each day you write down 3 things that your’'e grateful for?
At the end of this challenge, take them all out & read over them, we bet they’ll make you feel amazing

This is a resource we are sharing with all of you through the website and aiming to help our youngsters, in the various stages of their lives. This program contains information and practices that are aimed for two different age groups and we intend to mostly post the primary level information in the morning and the secondary level in the afternoon. Please leave us a comment and let us know how you are getting on or get in touch if you require additional support.
