L is for Laughter (Primary)
No kidding…
Having a real belly-laugh every now & then helps us stay healthy, improves the flow of blood around our bodies & reduces our stress! Laughter really is no laughing matter
Fun things to practice
Here’s just some of the ways we can being laughter into our days:
1. Each day for 10 days write down three of the funniest things that you saw, heard or experienced that day write down why this was so funny! Don’t worry about knowing how to spell everything or write full sentences - just write as much as you can remember! There’s so much going on that’s serious & being able to remember all the funny stuff too is a really healthy way to cope when times are changing
2. Look out your favourite feel-good movie - one that makes you belly laugh! Perhaps watch it with your family or your friends and enjoy laughing together! Look at each other’s faces whist your laughing & notice how it makes you feel! Do the laughter challenge - where you try not to laugh, see who wins, who can keep a straight face the longest?
3. Finally, one family meal time a week, tell each other jokes & funny stories! Think of the corniest, funniest jokes and take turns telling them! Think of funny stories that have happened to you and take turns recounting them, telling as much detail as you can! Remember how this feels, perhaps take photos or make a video of all the funny moments
