H is for Hope (Primary)

I’m hoping for…

Being hopeful or looking on the ‘bright side’ is a great way to remind ourselves that, even though difficult things happen, they don’t last hope is a belief that good things DO happen

Fun things to practice

there are some super-easy ways to bring hope into our days, here they are:

1. Think of a time when you were really hoping things would go well? Perhaps it was something you were really looking forward to? And remember how well it went and how much you enjoyed it! In fact, let’s give this memory a name & try to remember as much about this time as possible, perhaps draw a picture or write a story describing all about it?

2. Being hopeful doesn’t just happen. Sometimes we have to plan for it! Perhaps there’s something you want to improve at? Perhaps you want to learn a new skill or start a different hobby? What plans will you make so that you achieve your goal? And let’s also remember that we learn when we get things wrong, when we make mistakes, this is when the magic happens in our brains!

3. Finally, let’s remind ourselves of some of the things that we’re good at? Don’t be shy, how about draw or write about the things you enjoy doing, the things that are your strengths? When we remind ourselves of our strengths, this can also remind our amazing, hopeful brains that good things DO happen
