V is for Vulnerable (Primary)

changing

Life is constantly changing. In these last six months, we’re surviving a pandemic, teaching ourselves at home & connecting with our pals in many varied & different ways! Zoom rooms, Google meets, FaceTime birthday parties, we’ve done them all

Fun things to practice

Here’s some simple ways to embrace our wobbly times, our vulnerable days:

1. Do this simple check-in each day. Pause & stop. . Take some deep breaths. Ask yourself, how am I feeling? What do I need just now - drink, a snack, some play-time, a chat? Notice if you’re feeling a bit wibbly-wobbly, draw yourself, what does your wobbly face look like? Then ask yourself, what can I do to help me? Make a drawing of all the things you can do to help yourself feel less wobbly

2. Allow our wobbly days - this can be difficult, we might feel weak, a bit scared. Yet, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is really brave plus we can’t do everything ourselves! Letting our pals help us reminds us that we’re all connected, none of us is alone. Make a trust list - of everyone you trust who could help!

3. Be a helper & get into the habit of regularly helping out anyone who’s feeling a bit wobbly - perhaps at home, perhaps with your family, perhaps with your pals. And get this - helping others actually makes us less wobbly too!
